Blooms & Bites: A Summertime Feast of Fruits and Florals

Summer is HERE!! And boy, is it a HOT one! But that does not mean we stop creating beautiful gatherings. We just adjust. To celebrate the vibrancy of the season, combining florals and fruits is definitely the way to go. So how do we do it, Michelle?! You know I got your tips! Here is how you can make your own below:

Tip # 1: Set your Color Palette

Start by selecting a color palette that reflects the bright and cheerful hues of summer. Consider incorporating shades of citrus fruits like oranges, lemons, and limes, as well as vibrant floral tones such as pinks, yellows, and greens.

Tip # 2: Select Linens & Tableware

  • Choose table linens in light, airy fabrics like cotton or linen in complementing colors or patterns that accentuate your chosen palette.

  • Select dinnerware, glassware, and flatware that complement the theme and color scheme. I really wanted to highlight color so I chose shades of pink.

Tip # 3: Choose Your Centerpiece

  • Design a stunning centerpiece using a mix of fresh fruits and flowers arranged in a decorative bowl, tray, vase or bud vases. Combine colorful citrus fruits like oranges, lemons, and limes with vibrant blooms such as roses, peonies, and daisies for a striking display.

  • Scatter additional fruits and floral accents along the length of the table to create a cohesive look.

Tip # 4: Personalize

  • Add a personal touch to each place setting with individualized elements like name cards, handwritten notes, or small favors for your guests. You can add sprigs of fresh herbs or flowers to napkins or incorporating fruit-themed motifs into your tableware. I laid some kiwis on the napkins. I also added gold cocktail tags from Etsy. Anything to give it that little extra YASSSSSS!

Tip # 5: Final Touch

  • Step back and assess your table-scape, make any final adjustments to ensure balance and harmony. Pay attention to spacing, symmetry, and visual flow to create a cohesive and inviting ambiance.

  • Don’t forget to add ambient lighting with candles, lanterns, or string lights to create a warm and inviting atmosphere for your summer gathering.

With these tips, you can create a breathtaking summer tablescape that celebrates the abundance of fruits and florals while delighting your guests with a feast for the senses.
