"5 Essential Tips for Planning the Perfect Bridgerton Inspired Picnic"

Season 3 is upon us and what a season it shall be! We finally get to immerse ourselves and see the story of Colin & Penelope unfold this week. I do not know about you but I have been impatiently waiting for their arrival. To celebrate this joyous occasion, I have curated a Bridgerton-inspired picnic to transport you to the Regency era, perfect for these delightful spring-to-summer days.
Here are some delightful suggestions to create your own Bridgerton-inspired picnic:
Tip # 1: Set the ambiance
Location: Choose a picturesque park or garden, reminiscent of the lush landscapes seen in the series. I utilize the beautiful fields of Dix Park, it is so vast so plenty of room.
TIP # 2: Decor!!
The beauty of this theme lies in its specificity. You want to incorporate alot of vintage and royal touches. Use tablecloth and napkin vintage touches such as lace or floral patterns. You can find these items at Home Goods or even Amazon.
Dinnerware is so much fun to look for. Definitely thrift these! You can easily find delicate china pieces at your local thrift store and you won't have to break the bank.
And Y'all know I am all about the Flowers! Since I wanted to use alot of colors and greenery, I went to my local Trader Joes, early in the morning, because it was crazy! (Mother's Day weekend, I should have known better.)
Last, add your pillows, blankets, candles, menu cards (Etsy or Canva) and the decor is good to go!
Tip # 3: Food & Beverage
Your menu should definitely reflect the setting. Since you are likely outdoors, opt for light and refreshing options. Here are some great ideas for food: Sandwiches, scones, pastries & tarts and fresh fruit.
As for beverages, of course you want tea. Have a variety of flavors to satisfy any palate. For a more festive touch, include a sparkling lemonade or a bottle of chilled champagne.
Tip # 4: Attire
Of course, we want everyone to reflect the theme and the pictures to exude Bridgerton excellence. Embrace the style with light, flowy dresses for the ladies, and linen shirts or light suits for the gentlemen. Accessories like bonnets, gloves, fans, and lace parasols can complete the look.
Tip # 5: Activities
Now what to do while we sit and look pretty? Definitely set the mood with some music. There are so great classical R&B playlists on Spotify! Reading excerpts from the book, law games such as badminton, or your typical shower games but Bridgerton style are fun things to do.a
